Criteria for the composition of the PPGCA faculty.

Accreditation

The professor and / or researcher interested in joining the PPGCA as a professor should forward, according to the accreditation official announcement to be publicized by the PPGCA to the program collegiate, the documents that prove to meet the following requirements:

I – Have a qualified scientific production greater than 1.5 Article A1 Equivalent / Year considering the average in the evaluation period.

II – Present the proposal containing the menu and the program content of the discipline to be taught in the program under your full responsibility.

III – Present orientation activities and teach disciplines in graduate courses at UFERSA. Failure to carry out activities related to graduation can only be allowed in the cases described in the annex.

IV – Coordinate a research project registered in PROPPG at UFERSA.

Evaluation of permanent professors

Professors will be evaluated annually for their scientific production compatible with the program requirement, having to have qualified scientific production above 1.0 published and / or accepted A1 equivalent articles according to the following situations:

  1.  In the first year of the quadrennium, at least two of the following criteria must be met:
    1. Qualified production for the current year, which must be equal to or greater than 1.5 published and / or accepted A1 articles in the current year;
    2. Qualified production derived from oriented dissertations, which must be equal to or greater than 50%;
    3. Average qualified production in the previous quadrennium, which should be equal to or greater than 1.5 published articles.
  2. In the second year of the quadrennium, the professor must meet the following criteria:
    1. Average qualified production between the previous year and the current one, which should be equal to or greater than 1.5 published and / or accepted articles A1;
    2. Qualified production derived from oriented dissertations, which must be equal to or greater than 50%.
  3. In the third year of the quadrennium, the professor must meet the following criteria:
    1. Average qualified production between the previous two years and the current one, which must be equal to or greater than 1.5 published and / or accepted articles A1;
    2. Qualified production derived from oriented dissertations, which must be equal to or greater than 50%.
  4. In the fourth year of the quadrennium, the professor must meet the following criteria:
    1. Average qualified production for the entire quadrennium over 1.5;
    2. Qualified production derived from oriented dissertations greater than 50%.

Disqualification

In the event that the professor does not meet the requirements of his scientific production and the time of graduation of his supervisors (24 months for master’s and 48 months for doctorate) for two consecutive evaluations, this professor will not be able to receive new supervisors and his disqualification from the program will be proposed.

The PPGCA collegiate body may propose the disqualification of the professor at any time to adapt to CAPES requirements.
